I feel it. I yearn for it. I want to know more. I am inspired and encouraged by the courage and knowledge of those who already breathe it, live it, champion it, and share. I am intimidated by the positive weight of its authenticity and its meaning; yet I am ready to acknowledge and embrace the responsibility of profound awareness, and active love and aloha for our ‘aina, our heritage, and our future.

There are many others. I watch; and something stirs within me. I listen; and something opens my heart to beauty, sadness, concern and deep aloha . . . all mixed into one. I read; and look forward to learning more, as I turn each page and absorb the story of our Queen. The story of all of you as you share . . . the story of all of us as we unite.

I am new to this. I know not what I will encounter today so many years later than when I should have done it all better . . . but I already feel it to be right, and I know it’s never too late for now.

For those who came before us. For me, for you, for all of us . . . I am excited and hopeful for the certainty and continuity of another awakening.
